Although I have not seen any vampire movie does, I sat down with some real turnips. Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter may seem interesting. You might even have been interesting if not for their strange and pure musical numbers (yes, you heard me). The vampire movie I’ve ever had was to turn off the jugular of wine, after only fifteen minutes. It was a masquerade independent video shot in a real movie.
After writing my thesis on the history of vampire films, I felt obliged to choose the top ten. My criteria for choosing these films were based on three points: the ability repeated clock, artistic qualities, and humor. Multiple clock include items such as dialogue, action and creepiness general. Artistic qualities include cinematography, set design and costumes, and direction. I think humor is eloquent.
Son of Dracula : Why put a series of Dracula (the third in a series Universal) with the unfathomable Lon Chaney Jr. as Dracula on a list of vampire movies? The short answer is that it stops with me. Take Dr. Brewster, who sticks his nose where it does not belong, because only an American can do. There is also a very physical Dracula, who strangled his opponents. The special effects are well done for 1940. Dracula turns into a mist and a bat, and also dissolves when the sun rises (the first screen from Nosferatu).
Blacula : Ok, I know that this was part of the Blaxploitation films of 1970 and the Time Capsule that time you could not do better. This is one of the film, where vampires walk the Cape to attract attention. Surprisingly, Blacula is a lot to offer a vampire movie. William Marshall, brings depth to his role as Mamuwalde, African prince, who was imprisoned in a coffin with Dracula. His original love, LUVA, has re-emerged as Tina. His desire is genuine as his lyrics like “I live once more, to lose it twice.” Finally, when Tina is devastated, Blacula decides to kill himself, staggering sunlight and dissolution. Once past the camp factor, Blacula is much more to offer than a vampire movie.
Return of the Vampire : This film marks a return to the role of Bela Lugosi vampire Armand Tesla. Werewolf servant, who has become a cliché Halloween tradition was to start in this film, Obry Andreas, played by Matt Willis. He redeemed himself to the end, pulling the hapless vampire to sunlight, which strangely does not kill him. Tesla appears only in the daylight astonish. Andrew drives a second peak in his chest causing the vampire to melt, the special effects simply gruesome in its day.
Underworld : Guns, vampires, werewolves, and tight leather outfits. How could you lose? Underworld takes the artistic direction of the Matrix, and the eye is Mafia-style action film. Starring Bill Night as the vampire leader, Victor, adding a little ‘spirited (it was Davy Jones Pirates). The original concept for the film was a remake of Romeo and Juliet, only the werewolves and vampires. If you unzip the sappy romance, and add the teeth is Tybalt, you get Underworld.
Fright Night : Campy vampire movie of deaths in the mid-1980. That said, it also revived the vampire genre. What works about this film is that writer-director Tom Holland did his homework. The main character, Charley Brewster is a name borrowed from Son of Dracula. Although the actress and Vampire Hunter, Peter Vincent, is a combination of Vincent Price, Peter Cushing (Horror of Dracula see below). Peter Vincent is special because she is terrified of vampires and a coward with most of the film. While the vampire Jerry Dandrige, he is madly in by Chris Sarandon, landscapes, food, and the number of apples. You need to forget 1980 and put on a sad and compulsory dance.
Horror of Dracula : This was the first color film and produced eight other Dracula. We have seen a couple of players who became famous independently by Peter Cushing is Van Helsing and Christopher Lee as Dracula. Hammer Films has taken advantage of the full Technicolor with fangs dripping, eyes bloodshot. Studio has acquired the rights to Universal for as long as they do not use any trademark or graph shows the film’s original Dracula. The result is a story a bit ‘random set in Germany. Face to face final two enemies, Peter Cushing cut two feet from the lamp when you drive Dracula crucified in broad daylight. Classic move now part of the tradition vampire.
